noun pl. ser·en·dip·i·ties
1.The faculty of making fortunate discoveries by accident.
2.The fact or occurrence of such discoveries.
3.An instance of making such a discovery.
That word was going around my mind since yesterday night.
Today and with the word still swarming around me, I went to downtown with my most casual camera and yes, that's my cell phone. I was determined to cath serendipity.
Walking along the street, I turned my head and a lion knocker was there staring at me. I had no other choice than shooting. I don't usually think too much about the pic I want to get. I prefer magic to come up. And that ray of light made the magic.
I have gone past in front of that door several times, but I never noticed that knocker until today.
I love doors and window pictures. I don't know the reason, maybe it is just because some simple and straight lines let us imagine any kind of stories behind that door. I haven't been able to find inspiring doors up to now. I had been looking for the perfect door, something like those Marroccan embossed and colored ones, but there are no doors like that where I live.
However, a door called my name today. Can I call it serendipity? Maybe, but certainly I was looking at doors with my human eyes and not through a lens.
Very nice, Isabel! I love how the light is shining on the door. So happy you discovered the prefect door picture. Great example of "serendipity". :)
ResponderEliminarThanks a lot for your kind answer, Vicki! I hope it won't be my only one door from now on :)
EliminarI love the color of that door! And aren't cell phone cameras great? I have captured so many photos with mine that I may have missed otherwise.
ResponderEliminarI agree, Phoebe! Cell phone cameras are great but what about apps?? I'm in love with Instagram, I always find the perfect effect for my photos :)
